900 GRADOS TEQUILA

OUR STORY

Our skilled Jimadors take great care to find and harvest only those Blue Weber Agave that meet our criteria for age and ripeness. This provides the optimal sugar content. Using their tool called a Coa, they strip away the leaves to reveal the heart of the plant, the piña.

After being hand cut, the piñas are baked in brick ovens at 900 degrees (wonder where our name came from? 900 Grados is 900 degrees) to ensure they’re cooked evenly.

Once cooked the are then crushed by a volcanic stone Tahona wheel and a roller mill.

Our mixture is fermented for three days, distilled and bottled for our Tequila Blanco.

For our Tequila Reposado and Anejo, the mixture is then aged in bourbon barrels for 6 months (Reposado), and up to 18 months (Anejo). This provides the irresistible notes and flavors that make this a great transition drink for whiskey connoisseurs

Our small-batch tequila tasted to ensure it meets all requirements, then bottled. Each bottle is carefully rinsed and filled, labeled then topped with our special cork. It has to meet our standards to be good enough to have the 900 Grados name applied.

Our entire process is hand made in Jalisco, Mexico. We are proud of the heritage and tradition that goes into each bottle of 900 Grados Tequila.
